Bleed is the extra area of your design that extends beyond the trim edge of your finished printed piece. It’s important because it ensures that when the paper is cut, the ink runs right to the edge without any unwanted white borders. I typically require 3mm of bleed on all edges.

A high-resolution PDF (300dpi minimum) with all fonts embedded and 3mm bleed is the standard and preferred format. Also, keep all images and text 3mm away from the edge.

I strongly advise against using a website logo for print. Logos for the web are usually low-resolution RGB files (e.g., .JPG, .PNG). For high-quality print, I need a vector file that is resolution-independent and scalable without loss of quality.
